The western media enforces these stereotypes of Asian men as either Kung Fu masters with heavy accents or geeky, computer nerds who are someway the target of jokes. It’s complete crock of course and quite inexcusable, but the fact is that many Asian guys eventually absorb this way of thinking and take on that identity.
Eventually they will become that stereotype of nerdy, geeky and being the laughing stock and that’s just wrong, because there is a lot Asian men can do to become more attractive to women.
The peer group may re-enforce these stereotypes also by either being totally defiant and agressive about it or surrendering to them and just accepting them, so that makes it even harder for an Asian guy to have a healthy outlook on dating women of other races. Both reactions are bad and lead to less success.
Some things are not possible to change, such as not being that tall or having a bulky frame, but it’s really not that important. Plenty of guys are very succesful with women while being short.
It’s not the end of the world, it isn’t the final truth. Being Asian is far from a handicap, it’s just cultural background, a history, something to be proud of. In fact, there are Asian guys who have phenomonal success with women – of all races. They would laugh at the suggestions in that study, because THEY KNOW BETTER.
